5 NEW Cards using the August 2021 Stamps of life Card Kit

 Hi Everyone,

Today I will be posting 5 New cards using The August 2021 Stamps of Life So Cool Card Kit.  This kit goes so well with the August Sundae2stamp & die club set.  In the Card Kit you receive everything you need to make at least 10 cards but I have made more that 12 before in one kit.  You get c/s, a 6 “x 6” pattern paper pad, envelopes,  embellishments, stamps that go with that months stamp and die club, and more.  Below I will be posting 5 cards I made using the kit.  AND  “How I made this” card instructions.

Card #1

This card is a TSOL Mini Slimline Card Die Set.  The finished card measures 6” x 3 1/2” and comes with 1die for the card base & 10 nested rectangles that layer perfectly with this New size card.  I used the Scalloped rectangle dies and for the bottom layering piece. (Measuring   ).  I used one of the nested rectangle dies and a piece of patterned paper from the paper pad to layer on tromp of the scalloped edge paper.  When I am making a layering card I start at the bottom and build it up.  I lay every die one on top of the other so I get the sizes I want with different paper colors.  Make sure the top layer fits your last piece of paper.  Like mine is the Ice cream cone.  I made the ice cream cone before the layering started so I liked my size.   I also used foam tape on the backs of my layering pieces and on my ice cream cone.  Once I have it (not permanently put down) all put together and I like it I start building from the bottom to the top.  Then I add any embellishments like sequins, 3’d ink, epoxy dots, etc. and I let it dry. If you look closely at the pictures you can see everything I used to make this card.

I used everything from The Stamps of life website:  www.thestampsoflife.com

What I used:

Sundae2stamp stamps and dies

Mint chip, cherry, lemonade, gingersnap, & chocolate c/s

So Cool  Patterned paper from the card kit

TSOL Watercolor markers and water pen

TSOL Sequins & more 3

The Happy Birthday stamp is from- TSOL morechalksayings2stamp

The die is called Banner dies

3’d ink pens

Card #2

This is a A2 size card    For this card I used the Sundae2stamps & dies along with the Card Kit.   Everything I used was in the kit except for the lattice die I used along the edge.   The bottom c/s is 4 1/8” x 5 1/4”.  Make your c/s to the size u want and adjust the other layers to fit in that area.  To make that I measured the patterned paper           And the sides to.    .  I then         It the lattice measures       .  I used a die I got as a freebie from TSOL to run along the edge where the papers connect.  I made a waffle cone and used the dotted stencil to make chocolate chimes on the vanilla cone.  (I used vanilla c/s for the ice cream and chocolate ink for the chips).  The nuts on top of the chocolate fudge is made with gingersnap paper inked with twig ink. I used 3’d ink on the chocolate to make it look like fudge (the gel I use is the one that I store flat bottom sided down so the gel has no glitter it is clear).  I added the nuts into the wet ink.  I put the cone together, popped it up with dimensionals and added a saying. Pretty easy card.

Card #3

This is an easy card.  Everything again is in the kit except the frames.

A2 size card
Dotted rectangle dies
Sundae2stamp & dies
“So Cool” die from kit
Embellishments from Kit
Ribbon from kit
Epoxy dots from kit
Paper pad from kit
C/S from kit
Plaid stencil (TSOL)
3’d ink pen (TSOL)
Dimensional tape

I made the frame from the largest dotted rectangle die and the 3 rd one down (make the frame the size you want it. (Just put 2 dies together with washi tape & run it thru ur die cutting machine).
Make ur ice cream sundae-use the plaid stencil on your sundae, add nuts, a cherry, and Cool word die.
Cut out your spoon.  Make a smaller frame with a different background paper.  Put it all together and the start decorating.
All the dots are made with the TSOL 3’ink pens.  Remember to let the dry over nite so the stay puffy.
This card was not hard.  I just made all the different pieces and put it all together at once. Then decorated. All the frames are made using the rectangle dies. (Use any one you have).

Card #4

Card #4
A2 size card
You will be making 2 separate frames1 that is on the bottom (the quava one)
The other is (the green apple one) that will be off set on top of the quava one & this one will be a shaker card.
1-base c/s or patterned paper  4 1/4” x 5 1/2”

1-dotted rectangle die frame.  I used the largest 2 dies. (Guava color) I turned the paper over so the bottom would be a different color than the frame. But make it whatever color you want.

1- frame using the 2nd largest scalloped rectangle die-(kiwi c/s) for my outside frame I used Green  Apple ink to stencil a design on it- I used the wedding stencil but use whatever you have.

1- Top piece of the shaker- My top piece is made with Powdered  Sugar c/s and Green Apple ink. I used the 3 largest scalloped rectangle die and then I used for the inside part a stitched rectangle die for the inner cut…you decide how big of a center you want for your shaker to be. Put the 2 dies together and that will fit on top of the Green Apple piece you already made. Now use ur stencil to make a design on that top frame piece- mine I used the plaid stencil with Green Apple. You now need to cut a piece of acetate to make your shaker.  Attach your acetate to that top piece and add ur dimensional tape so your sequins will be able to shake (sometimes I add 2 layers of dimensional tape).    Be sure to use some powder around the inside edges of your tape and on ur paper so the sequins will move around freely and  add your sequins to the bottom of ur paper  and
put ur frame together.  Layer it on top of the bottom frame at a slight diagonal.

This card sounds hard but it was not.  I made the 2 frames separate and then the ice cream cone so after making the 2 frames and  1 ice cream cone together I just had to put it all together.

Them just embellish it as much or as little as you want.  Everything I used was in the kit except for the 3’d inks,  the sequins and the Sundae2stamp stamps and dies.
Fun card

Card #5
 A2 size card finished card 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”

Fun Fun Fun card to make.

1-card base 11” x 5 1/2” powdered sugar

1- 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” powered sugar c/s

1- 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”  “So Cool” paper  pad cut into 2 pieces or make them whatever colors you want. Thes 2 pieces go on top of the powdered sugar c/s and glued or taped to the card base.

For the frame around the edges of the card
I used pixie c/s and cut a frame using the largest scalloped die and the 2nd largest stitched rectangle die.  Popped it up using dimensional tape and it fits around the outside edge of the card.

1- cut scalloped edge border die out of Candy c/s and lined it up in the middle of the two papers that come together.

cut 2  scalloped square dies- 1 out of of Candy and 1 out of Green Apple.  This makes your square to put your words in at the top inside the scalloped box.  Pop it up with dimensional tape.
Add the words using the words “So Cool” from the dark kit. (I use the adhesive sheets and cut the words 3x’s each to give them dimension)
Added the ice cream cones underneath the box
Added a bow and cut some flowers from the 5 petal flower Slimline panel w/bonus dies
Super easy card.
